Talking WOW! What a difference...

Upgraded from a Tundra to a Ram 2500 CTD about 10 days ago, and towed with the Ram for the first time a couple of days ago - WOW!!! I knew there would be a difference, but didn't expect it to be as good as it was. The trip included a lot of climbing into the Green Mountains of VT and the truck didn't even break a sweat. Then there's the exhaust brake and integrated brake controller... The fuel mileage was also fantastic (~13 mpg) and I know that will only get better as the engine breaks in.

Don't get me wrong, the Tundra was a fantastic truck and if we hadn't caught twofootitis I'd probably still own it. It's no match for a fiver though.

I did the same about a month ago. Went from a 2010 Tundra 5.7 to a 2015 Ram 2500 CTD. The Tundra was a great truck... but the new trailer was just a bit too heavy with all the stuff we bring now. I was getting about 7.5 to 8 mpg towing the new trailer with the Tundra. The Ram is getting about 12-13 towing the same trailer and has more available payload for stuff.

Haven't really hit the mountains yet to see the difference, don't have anything planned that will take me through the Appalachians until next year.

Same thing I said when I went from the Ram 5.9L to the 2015 Ram 6.7L. Wow, what a difference! This truck is a Hoss and I just love the exhaust braking system! The electronic display pages is fantastic, especially the on where you can see all your temps at one time. I simply love it and the mileage is a big plus!

Stop trying to get me to trade in my 15 colorado, I haven't even had it a year.

I've already been thinking about a 3/4 ton diesel as it is.

FishAr The Colorado should handle your 23RB very well.. but for larger trailers and long distance towing nothing beats a diesel.

Small world. I went from a Tundra 4x4 to a RAM 2500 Cummins 4x4.

I'll admit I had to do it because Toyota didn't make a 3/4 ton truck. I was nervous about dependability buying American. But so far, it's been the best vehicle I've owned and I'm very happy I did it.

We did the same in 2012 traded our Tundra on a 2012 Ram 2500 Cummins. When DH took the 2012 in for the last dealer free oil change, he came home on a 2014 Ram 2500 Cummins Mega cab. Expensive oil change. He made a great choice.

Love the truck. Not problem on any of the mountains, love the exhaust brake. Enjoy your new truck. You will love it.
