If I was going over that hump pulling my trailer, I would want the tires on the ground, Looks like the Ford was doing a better job of keeping them there?

This is one of many reasons why I got rid of my Super Duty. The frame flex on them is horrible and makes very a very "loose" feeling tow vehicle. The two Ram HD trucks I owned and now my f150 all tow with much more stability due to their superior boxed frames. And when I go off road I expect my suspension to take care of keeping the wheels on the ground, not a twisting frame.

Twisting flexing frames are not a good thing, obviously. If you subjected your vehicle to this type of thing on a constant basis you are asking for trouble. What happens to metal that get twisted and flexed a lot?
Yet, I found the other videos these guys made very interesting as well. Every truck manufacturer has their strong points and weak points though.
I have owned them all. My favorite is still my old 1972 Chevy Cheyenne 3/4 ton 4x4. That thing was a beast. Bad thing about it was the A/C kept going out and it put a tremendous drag on the engine. It also got lousy gas mileage; it has three tanks though... Next was my 1981 Ford F250 Custom with the 300 Cubic in straight six and the Borg-Warner 4speed. I couldn't stand the way all the plastic stuff in the interior broke so easily, and with the 6 cylinder engine towing my old 5er, even a light grade slowed me down to 40MPH, but NEVER did I ever not make it up a hill loaded or empty. Its main redeeming quality was that it got around 13 MPG empty and 13 MPG fully loaded and towing the 5er.
Now I have my 2004 Dodge Ram with the 5 speed manual and the 5.7 Hemi engine. It doesn't do quite as well off road as my Chevy did, but everything else is a winner. So far it is a clear winner. My neighbor has the same year truck with an automatic transmission and the cummins diesel. He has a shorter lighter TT than I do. Several years ago we all headed off on a 370 mile round trip fishing weekend. That diesel smoked me when it came to pulling out and pulling hills. At times I envied the diesel. That us until the return trip. He had to stop halfway through the return trip to gas up as he only had 1/4 of a tank left while I still had 1/2 a tank. We both have 34 gallon tanks; I pulled all the way back home and still had an 1/8th of a tank left. The difference was made up in my manual transmission and patience when pulling hills. So what; I went slower.
Sorry all. I went off on a ramble there....

Those defects are likely why Ford is the most popular and biggest selling truck of all time.
