17z owners, where do you put your stuff

Hello. We purchased our 17z last fall and were only able to take one trip with it before winterizing. Now with this season almost upon us we are trying to figure out our storage and compare it to others.
Currently we have an awning mat, camping chairs and fresh water hoses in the outside storage. The cabinet above the sink for plates, utensils and the one above the sofa for food items. The cabinet above the dinette was completely empty, we pack light. We put a Lantern and flashlights underneath the refrigerator and a small box of tools underneath the rear bunk. Under the stove is a few pots and pans with a lot of extra space. Seems like we have a lot of free space. What and where are you storing inside?

Be careful on your model; check out your cargo carrying capacity and be very mindful. If you full all your compartments you'll be overloaded on that model pretty quick. Don't ask me how I know ...

I'm with you.....the small 17z does seem to have ample storage space, at least for me our family. And for now, while the kids are little at least.

We do similar storage to yours. We keep the towels/diapers/sleeping bags above the beds on the little storage shelves. Kids toys/crafts/movies above the dinette. Clothes mostly are in duffels which stay on the beds.

My dillema is the shoe situation by the door. It collects with shoes quickly, which takes up walking space. Easy to trip on them.

Welcome to the 17Z family.

We're only a little ahead of you on the experience spectrum. We got our x17z last September and have taken it out three times. Here's the rundown of where we have things:

Below the sink: One pan, some cleaning stuff, and a roll of paper towels
Above the sink: Dishes, cooking tools
Above the couch: Cups, coffee and tea, dry food
Above the dinette: Phone charging cords, DVDs, flashlights

Storage stuff

Congrats on your 17z. We're starting our 4th year with ours and love it. There's a few things you can do to increase your storage a bit. There's some mods on this forum that we've taken advantage of that work great!
We've taken out the false back under the sink, which really adds room for your cooking stuff. Also, cutting the divider board at the front bed, to open up access to the storage below, is great for storing light things, like clothes or extra blankets. Just beware of the wiring. You'll hear a lot of people worrying about overloading the trailer, with only about 300 lbs. of storage capacity(taking into account the battery, full water). While it's always good to be aware, we've never been able to come close.
We added this to the bathroom door and it works really well for small stuff: http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f3...age-26054.html. Have fun!

Thanks everyone. Like I said, just was wondering how you load yours. Odd thing is we aren't looking to load more stuff in it but was just surprised how much more empty room we have. We had a Coleman popup prior and ended up removing some stuff we always brought but never used. It's still in a rubber maid bin in the garage.

Almost forgot the most important item...the coffee maker is stored under the dinnette.
