19h 2012 owners question

Is your counter split into 2 pieces? It seems ours was installed this way on right by stove top there is a small edge and then a large piece over to couch. I am asking this because we are under warranty and there is a small flaw left of stove top on counter which we were going to leave, but if I find that our counter was installed wrong, I might get it fixed.

Hi Makjps; had a quick look at our 19H counter and could find no seam to indicate that it is not one piece, although ours is a 2011 - I would think it should be the same. Hope that helps. Cheers

Thanks for looking. I will have to post picture, I notice the counter seam on back wall, right of stove top. If it was split, was done okay, not too noticeable. Otherwise, we love our 19h. Wish Jayco would have kept the surround shower, medicine cabinet, and bunk outlets as in select models in 2011. We had to add the outlets and could only add them by a ceiling lights not separate by bed.Click image for larger version

We have a Jayco 19H 2011 and I don't think our counter top is like that. It is in the shop right now but when I gets back I will double check, but I am pretty sure no. We went with the 2011 instead of the 2012 for the reasons you stated, the shower surround was a must for us. Also DH wanted the electric/gas ho****er tank.

My Z did not come with the shower surround, so I ordered one and the dealer installed it. it was part for my buying the camper. Mine came with the medicine cabinet, but it was one of the last to have one.

I have called a local dealer that I knew had a 2013 19h on the lot and had him look at the counter and he confirmed that it was split, I can see now this is how they get the end piece around stove top on right. I believe it is all okay. I am putting up a command small water resistant strip shower caddy for our bathroom. Hopefully if I can keep the shower curtain closed throughout the entire shower, I won't get any water on floor. Don't know if I should hang low or high though? Even the small size is way too big.

We do indeed have the split in the counter. Ours is so well joined together I didn't think we had it as I hadn't noticed it before. Our shower does leak onto the floor as well. I put a clip on the curtain and then to the shower surround but we still get occasional water on the floor so I keep a piece of folder up paper towel in the corner between the toilet and the shower to absorb and control any water that runs down. We have the Oxygenics shower head and basically rinse, off, soap, rinse, off to try and keep water at a minimum.
