19h winterizing problem

Hello,
We recently purchased a 19h and are attempting to winterize it for the first time. We followed all of the directions but the water pump doesn't pull the antifreeze into the lines!. There isn't any suction on the hose. We moved the valve for the clear hose and performed the hot water heater bypass. Does anyone have any thoughts on what the problem could be?. Thank you in advance.

Is the pump on and do you have power to it?

Yes, we can here it run. We actually refilled the fresh water tank verify it was primed and it worked fine.

Did you close the valve from the fresh water tank?

The VALVE at the pump should switch to select either the fresh water tank or the hose that you stick down into the pink antifreeze.

Our unit has 2 valves at the pump. one to shut off the water tank and one to open the bypass tube which allows the plastic tube to suck.

The clear hose coming from the water pump goes in the jug. The valve on this must be open. The valve on the line coming from the fresh water tank must be closed for the antifreeze to draw from the jug.

If you just cant get the siphon hose to work (and the water heater is bypassed for sure). You can remove the "suction" hose from the pump itself, and screw your own siphon hose directly right there.

I have a 19H also. The two valves on mine are fairly close together and right at the pump. I know on mine there isn't a lot of room where the pump is so it was fairly easy to see both valves.I would take a picture but mine is at the dealer for repairs.
If I recall, the valve for the clear siphon hose was to the left of the pump looking staight at it. The valve for the fresh water tank was to the right.

I could not get mine to suck yesterday. Initially I thought it was due to the cheap hose being kinked so I got my coated pliers and un-kinked it and still nothing. Then I let the air out of my small accumulator that I added and it immediately started to suck the antifreeze..

Only other problem was finding more construction debris left behind under the shower near the low point drains that was left behind by the Amish "craftsman" Can you taste the pride ??

I remembered I had a pic I sent to the dealer asking why there was a coffee can lid behind the door that was screwed shut. My text didn't show up well, but the fresh water valve is on the right, and I do believe the siphon valve is the arrow on the left.

Howie,. There is also a heater type duct running in that area in our unit. Was one that in your unit and did you move it?

I don't recall there being any duct there. I don't see it in the pic either. Dang I wish the dealer was closer I would run by and take a look. Any way you can get a pic or two of yours? Maybe with a couple more sets of eyes on here looking at it we could spot something.

Had same problem tonight, once I shut the valve off going to the fresh water tank it sucked up 2 gallons of antifreeze in no time!

I had the same problem occur for me this week. I ended up 'priming' the pump by pouring antifreeze into the clear tube (the winterizing tube) and blowing into the tube with the pump running, then quickly inserting the tube into the gallon antifreeze jug. It forced fluid into the pump and started the suction
