2013 X17Z Dexter # 10 lift kit

I called Dexter axle and spoke with Denise. I gave her the serial # of my axle and the # 10 axle riser kit will work on my axle setup. There is no norco adapter on my axle. Ordered the #10 kit, but like previous post I have read you get enough for tandem axles. Hopefully I will be able to get it lifted this weekend. While talking with Denise she told me I could run up to 15" rims on that particular axle if the wheel well had enough clearance, but I would have to make that determination.
Also she emailed me all the specs for that serial # axle. Dexter customer service is great ! ! I'm thinking the 15" wheels would be the best choice, won't make that decision until I get it lifted.

I got the axle risers installed this past weekend took about an hour. It was a lot easier than I was expecting. I'm going with the 14" rims and the kuhmo 857 tires. Anybody have feedback / experience with the kuhmo 857 ?

can you post any pictures of the final product. I would like to see what the riser kit looks like.

Thanks for the input

Also, what effect on gas mileage? My X23E seems to ride low and I wouldn't mind it being a little higher. How much lift does the kit give?

Thanks for any and all info!

2013 X17Z Dexter # 10 lift kit

The kit gives 2 5/8" of lift.

I lifted mine more than that and haven't seen a mpg change. My tow rig is as boxy as the trailer so it my not be representative. YMMV.

Just put the Kuhmo 857 195 tires on this past weekend. Will post pics ASAP. Gas mileage is about the same. Lift kit lifts the x17z about 2.5"

Does this mod void any part of Jayco's warranty?

No. . . . according to Dexter axle company as long as you use genuine Dexter parts and follow the installation instructions you are covered. If you are worried about the warranty, take your coach to a Dexter authorized installer.

Great! I'll definitely look into this.

maybe a silly question, but did you have to adjust your weight distribution or hitch height after installing the lift?

thanks

Question, if anyone from this group is still around - what is the diameter of the socket I need for the lug nuts on the X17A with 14"? Anyone know?

I have a 2015 x17z and need it lifted about 2 inches to get it in our driveway. Right now I'm using car loading ramps to give me the clearance I need. Not an ideal situation. I also spoke with Dexter about the #10 lift kit but they said I would need a AP-166 top mount to side mount adapter which has to be welded on. It appears to Dexrer that my axle is top mounted and the lift kit is for side mount only. Did you have that problem and have to weld the AP-166 adapter to make it work. It appears from your discussion that you were able just to bolt everything together. I'm worried about warranty issues with welding on the frame or axle. I'm not sure if the axle setup has changed from your year model to 2015. Was your axle top or side mount?

Check with your dealer. The lift kit is an option for all Jay Feather Ultralight Hybrids except the X23U. Not sure if it would have had to have been installed from the factory though.
