I would not recommend doing that, I would have it welded to the frame

Just got my camping world catalog and saw something that looked interesting, the Bike Bunk.

http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...ike-bunk/72004

It mounts to the A frame and over the propane tanks. It may be a problem with our hybrid TTs' though....

We also have the 23B, still haven't gone out in it yet (newbies) but since we are both avid cyclists, the first thing my husband did was put a truck bed mount bike rack in. We have never seen a bike rack on the back of a trailer that wasn't practically bouncing off. Just watched one the other day on the freeway and it looked like it was about to snap off it was bouncing so badly! (Just my two cents)

Put them in the bed of your truck.

We keep out bikes inside the trailer. If you're careful of how you lay them down, use some towels for padding, it works out pretty well.

We used to do this because we've always had SUVs. Two years ago something happened and scratched up our fridge door. I'd probably still do it that way, but now that we have a pickup the bikes will be in the bed. We've just become really leery of putting them inside the trailer.

Hi Joe. We have a 2012 23xb. We put our rack on back bumper. On my first trip i got out to get gas 2 hours into the drive and to my horror the whole back bumper and all three bikes were bent at a 30 degree angle. The bikes were within a hair of hitting the pavement. I took bikes off and put them inside the trailer leaning against the couch opposite the sink. I then held the bike rack and leveraged it back up to almost look normal. Took the bike rack off. I had dealer replace the bumper as the salesman sold me the bike rack receiver attachment to put on bumper saying it would work. I did not. I have yet to find a solution because an attachment welded to the front over the propane would interfere with the fold down tent bed. I will be interested to read your other posts. On all other trips since our inaugural trip last july we just put the bikes in the trailer leaning against the couch and other than a little dirt to sweep it has worked fine. Good luck. Rod

Go search GOOGLE images for RV BIKE RACKS... lots of views... When it loads up select IMAGES.... Then you can click on the IMAGE for more info...

https://www.google.com/search?q=rv+b...w=1137&bih=473

I like the ones where the tire wheels set down in a wheel frame. Also keep in mind that anything mounted on the rear of the trailer will get the most movement and bumps. Might shake your bicycles to death.

Mounting something on the front of the trailer up above your propane tanks should be a much more less stressful ride. You might keep some eyes on your bikes as well...

This is what I'm going to use. A pair of these mounted to a 2x4 with a little reinforcement here and there, strap the bikes down to the tie downs in the bed and I'm GTG. Perhaps a bit more expensive than the PVC, but I think this will work better for me...

I use a clamp on bike rack that attaches to the hitch shank. Here's what I use. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007EA...110_SY165_QL70 It works great and then when we are camping I have a car rack as well.

Yea, I'm always nervous I'm going to put a hole in the bathroom door, but we put them in the back and just try to pad them up. I thought about getting roof bike racks for the TV but I don't think I'd enjoy trying to get the bikes up and off the roof of the thing.

We have a welded receiver hitch secured to the frame. Works great.

Here are a few pics of my front tounge mounted bike rack. The front bunk just clears the rack when tipped down, lots of careful measuring before I built it.

tslarson,
Do you have a WDH on your trailer? I love your idea and will try to duplicate, but wonder if there is enough room on the A rails to mount beyond the WDH clamps and the battery box support? Hope that makes sense not sure what the WDH parts are called that support the chains...

There was just enough room to mount between the battery tray and WDH brackets. I am sure each trailer is a bit different, so lots of careful measuring is needed to determine how it will fit.

The rear bumper is only rated for 100lbs.
The spare tire will already soak up 75lbs. The thickness of the rear bumper is thin and that's usually what gives up first. You would need to get to the frame if you wanted to do some thing that wont fall off.
