2014 X23b Dealer Offer

Hi All-

Went to look at a 23b today and really liked it. Not sure on what the typicall discount off MSRP is, but this dealer offered me a sale price of $21,595. The MSRP on the unit was $26,656. Just curious on the forums thoughts and if there is room for me to get more if this price is decent. We are in the Chicagoland area.

Thanks
Scott

Keep shopping Scott unless you are in a situation that you must buy soon, for whatever reason. We decided on the 23F over the 23B (it was a tough decision). I purchased a 2013 X23F which has a slightly higher MSRP in March of 2013 for $20K even. It is equipped with all the "upgrades" and options and I also got an Equalizer hitch and the electronic brake controller installed, AND TAX INCLUDED for that $20K! I live in Sturtevant which is the home of a large dealer, but I didn't care for them and they weren't as willing to deal, so I ventured "up north". You will be VERY HAPPY with your new hybrid! Enjoy!

I think I'd hold on a bit! The RV shows will be picking up before long. I live in the Ft Wayne area and ours is usually the last weekend in January. We bought our x23b at the show this past Jan. & I think the show price was in the $15xxx range. We had a couple of upgrades done to it so that raised the price.
I know there is a large dealer in Middleberry, IN. Where the Jayco is built. My brother bought his new jayco there & was really impressed with the deal he got. A lot better than our local dealer was trying to hive him.
Our next one will probably come from there instead of our local dealer as I'm not happy with my selling dealer.
I'd say Middleberry is only a. Couple of hours from you & that part of the state is really really a neat area.
We really love our x23b!

2014 X23b Dealer Offer

We put a down payment on a 2014 X23B in Oct which will be delivered in early January. They quoted us $19,995 and threw in a BBQ which was an RV show price.

I'm DW to IceOnFire... Make sure you see what dealer add-ons are also. Ie. do they include the battery and propane, the electric hitch thingy, tv, etc.

We bought our 2013 March 2013. We saw it at a show stickered for 21,xxx. At delivery we wrote a check for 17,xxx. Ours was fresh built as the one at the show did not have the oven the Missus wanted. She also changed the covering on the sofa for something she liked better. Ours came with battery a two full propane tanks. Included was the hitch the bars, friction sway control and brake controller.
I don't know how much location matters. We are in NY
6 or 7 weeks from order to delivery.

Just thinking....Do you have the website of the dealer and the unit that you were looking at? I just wanted to compare to what we paid and got and maybe I could help you out.

With the dealer shows starting soon, I would agree to wait. We saw one last year for 15k at one of the shows. Obviously it was before taxes and so on but way better than the 20+ originally quoted. We have the X23B as well, and we've been really happy with it.

There usually a markup of 10K in each unit. Found this out during my last purchase when the "dealer invoice" was never taken out. The sales rep told me on average there usually is a 10K mark up on each unit with exception of motor homes. If trading in keep in mind they will make $$$$ of your trade. Make sure you put that all in consideration when you purchase your new unit. I wouldn't bay more than 17K for it. There are a lot of dealers that want your businesses that will deliver for free. Good Luck!!!

Seams like 30% off msrp is about where the $ should be when the $ are on the table. The deal should include the battery, hitch, brake controller & propane etc. The battery is a must for emergency brake control. Jayco say's " battery supplied by others" so any good dealer will put in the deal. Just my .o2$ Larry
