2017 16XRB Bunk Latches

Hi Everyone,
I am a new 16XRB owner and I was wondering if someone could confirm that their bunk latches look like this as well?

It seems to me that they are not very tight and barely holding on.

Looks like my direct export from Photos didn't properly orient the images.

Hopefully this is better. I would have expected the grey part to be further up in the latch.
