23B - Broken Fresh Water Drain Tap

Last time out, I went to drain the remaining water in our 2004 Jayco Feather 23B, and the tap handle broke. It was pretty brittle, and I was able to still get it drained and then closed, but it was pretty tough. Is this a fairly universal part and hopefully an easy swap? I'd like to get it done before I winterize otherwise I know I'll forget about it come spring time.

You can find a replacement for it at any rv supply. Some have made some mods and replaced it with a standard hose faucet.

You can get the part at any RV repair shop. Personally I would consider replacing it with a small valve from the hardware store. Possibly a ¼ turn ball valve, there are lots of different styles if you spend some time looking on-line, you may find something similar to the small plastic one. On my 2012 the drain hose appears to be a ½ nylon braded hose. If yours is the same or similar, a larger valve will drain the tank much, mush faster. Personally the first one shown below is what I am thinking about using.

I was going to order one online as I have a few other things to grab. It looks like they make universal valves, but there is one with a flange and one without. Any idea which one I would need? My trailers is in storage otherwise I'd go take a peek.
