23b Front Bunk End leaks-Fixed

A year ago we had water in the front bunks when closed up.
had the local dealer replace the front rubber, still had some leaks.
He gave the following a try (photos) as he done some on previous trailers as the front bows just enough when closed to let water in.We have had this contraption for a year and no issues.just have to remember when closing to tighten this up.

posting this to see if it can help anyone else that had this issue

That's what they used originally on the first Hybrids to hold the bunks closed, one on each side.

You have to fully remove it each time you open & close the bunk?

A great solution to a job well done.
The 70's built campers where you could open the front windows, most of the leaked. It is pretty hard on the slanted front to keep things from leaking.

That's what our 2004 23B has. Never has had a single drop of water come through either end. Amazed they would change that.

-Kelly,
I had the latch installed by a local dealer (link below). I'm sure if you call them they can point you in the right direction. i'll look for my receipt to see if there is a brand or anything helpful

In case others are interested.

I googled JR Products Fold-Out Bunk Clamps, and found many places that offer this clamp for sale on line. Cost is from about $12 to $17

They're common. I bought mine on Amazon for around $13.
