Adding a vent?

I have an 05 Jay Feather 25E EXP. The only rooftop vent is in the bathroom. Is it feasible to think about cutting a hole in the roof to add another vent? I'd like to be able to let hot air out to ease the load on the AC at startup.

If you contact Jayco with your VIN they should be able to supply you a print of your roof framing, and then you might be able to figure out whether any other openings were framed but not installed.

I'm not a TT guy, but some motorhomes I have owned in the past you could option more vents, but the framing was built in even if you did not have a vent installed. Don't know if Jayco built your unit that way or not, but it might be worth a shot to ask!

That's what I did and they supplied me with the roofing diagram. There were two framed in locations with wiring close by. I installed a MaxxAir vent with fan in one and a non-powered vent in the other one.

I did that very thing a while ago as well. I didn't use the preexisting cutout though. Was still pretty easy. My thread is here with details....
