Air conditioner cover

Should I cover to keep snow off? I have never covered before.

Personal preference.. I cover mine since I don't cover the entire camper. I've followed all of the threads on here about covering campers, or not.. pros / cons.. but with your AC there aren't any cons I'm aware of and It makes me feel better, which justified the minimal expense for doing it. I cover the wheels for the same reason.

Your AC shroud, when constantly exposed to UV rays, will dry out and become brittle with age. I treat mine with 303 Protectant twice a year and cover it for the winter. Still looks like brand new!
It's also important to cover the tires to keep the damaging UV rays off them.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

Unless you live somewhere that gets alot of snow i dont see the point in covering it.These things are made to be out in the weather, same goes for your home AC,they are designed and tested to withstand mother nature. I agree that protecting the plastic is important, but covering for the winter could allow moisture build up inside and with cold nights and sunshine during the day could cause mold.I think it all boils down to personal preference,it's a feel good option,if it makes you feel good then do it,many people do and havent had many issues.
