Another Flat screen mounting Question

I have 2004 23b I believe that we just bought, the cable hook up is next to the entrance door with a shelf, and another shelf above it, my thoughts is to remove (temporarily) the microwave and mount a full articulating mount to that cabinet, I did see a clamp type mount that looked like a good idea so if anyone has some suggestions and photos that would very helpful thanks in advance

We are considering something similar on a 2015 x20e. Can you give me a link to the articulating arm that you are considering?

Will the panel wall behind the TV support the 24" Jensen TV? The spec show that it has VESA mounting, so (assuming) I don't pull the panel off the sidewall, it should be an easy install.

Would a molly bolt type of screw work? Or do I need to provide some more solid backing? Go easy with my - I am not all that handy. Thanks.

I am not sure yet, but I am going to see how much room there is next the microwave, but I am going to try and put a piece wood there to help spread the load out

Kathleen the wall board is probably too thin.. it will work OK BUT you will have to take it down when moving the RV..

That doesn't sound all that good. Is it possible to reinforce from the back side . . . or front for that matter. I looked for a desk or shelf mount arm but there didn't seem to be any good choices - It is presently mounted straight up on the shelf along the top of the fridge, which looks very stable but they don't seem to make arms for that - at least not for Televisions.

On another note . . . 89 days boondocking this year? We have found (the hard way) that as urban campers, that boondocking thing stresses the heck out of us. Don't get me wrong, we start laughing at our ineptitude; then sleep at about a 15 degree angle because we can never get anything level. We draw high cards for which of us gets to hug the beagle because we are always cold.

89 days? The vodka bill alone would break us and we usually don't drink . . . well, at least not vodka . . . I am SO impressed. You obviously have camping AND cold weather skills.

Let me know if you have another solution for the Television.

On my Jayco Featherlight 16xrb, I instaled a swivel type television mount against the cabinet above my regrigerator. There was an opening above the radio in this cabinet, and I was able to easily drill through and mount a metal backing plate to support/distribute the flat screen televisions weight. The flatscreen is not large. Also, the swivel mount I have easily detaches from its mount during travel. As stated, I would not have the television and it's swivel mount installed during travel, even in its folded state.

As some of the others have said I mounted mine on a swivel arm to a cabinet over my fridge (x17a) where i had space inside I added a backer board for strength but bolts and T-nuts would work great on any cabinet.

89 days near Palm Springs.. I find it very comfortable overnight.. but on those few nights it gets down near freezing I have a 12V electric blanket that I use.. (from Amazon).
As for the TV mount I would have to see where you want it and if we can get behind it to put a 1X4 back there for added strength.
