Antenna coax wiring replacement

Does anyone have any insight on how the antenna coax is wired in a 2011 Jayco X17C? The exposed coax on the roof has been cooked in the sun for the past 10 years and it's time to replace. I thought it would be as easy as removing from the antenna and then at the boot where the cable enters the roof. There is no connector at the roof....it's solid coax into the TT ceiling cavity. I don't have a crimping tool and was hoping I could get around having to buy one. Don't want to have to completely remove the antenna to replace the coax either. Anyone know if there is a union just inside the roof? Or is it straight coax to the plate on the inside? That's on the opposite side of the trailer.

It is probably one piece to the booster if you have one, the wire is bought in bulk and cut to fit for each trailer, just like the cable company does for home tv.

I replaced the coax wire to the antenna on my 2011 26BH. I removed the antenna crank/adjuster assembly from the ceiling inside the trailer. After fishing around an pulling out the coax cable that was packed into the ceiling area, I found that Jayco had a connector installed there, so a short section of coax, about 4 feet long, was all I needed.

Fortunately my antenna and cable is visible directly above the inside crank and if I ever needed to replace that short section, I would just replace the section that I needed and that would mean getting or borrowing a crimping tool for the connections and union.

I was thinking that replacing a short section would be the way to go as well, even if it doesn’t have a union hopefully it has enough slack to get to good cable. I bought a crimping tool with ends from Lowe’s for $25 or so, it works good if you have RG6 cable.

I got the tool and 100 feet of cable to add a antenna to our home and save on cable tv, I can pick up almost everything we watch for free over the air. Our Jayco picks up around 40 channels on the batwing antenna.

Thanks for the replies! I had pulled the boot where the coax enters the roof and pulled some slack out but didn't find a connector....might not have pulled enough out. I've pulled the crank handle on the inside but the coax is visible/accessible there. Might just but the compression tool and cut the existing coax just at the point that it is deteriorated and add an end there and use new cable to the antenna. Looks like R59 cable inside the ceiling of the TT.

Remove the crank handle assembly and pull out as much of the coax as you can. That's where I found the inline coax connector that allowed me to replace it with a short section of pre-made coax cable. From the inside out.
