Anyone installed a Quickie Flush in a [Jayco] Hybrid?

I got my Camco Quickie Flush and tools and silicone glue all ready to do my install this morning when it became clear that the side walls of the 22 gallon black tank were not deep enough. Also the access to install the device is such that even if I did plod ahead, it would be installed closer to the bottom of the tank as opposed to mid-height.

The way these tanks are mounted is that there is angle bar all around the tank attaching it to the floor of the RV; that is in addition to the straps.

The only way I can see installing this is to drop the tanks, do the install and then remount the tanks. All on a sloped driveway, working overhead on my back. It doesn't look like this upgrade is in my future.

So the direct question is this -- has anyone installed one of these on a Jayco (or any other hybrid) tank of this volume?

Wife said that we can keep it for the next RV if I don't install it in this one.

Our son put one on his 17z. There was a hole in the frame under the door that gave him good access.

Thanks Grumpy. I saw that hole and was thinking the same thing only that the nozzle would be pretty close to the bottom of the tank. Did he say how it worked for him, especially his tank readings?

Don't think he has had any gauge problems yet.:hihi: Since it doesn't spin it should really work better getting the solids off the bottom of the tank which is what it really designed for.

Before I ever used the my '06 23 B I installed a flush which I think had about the same size black tank.

I went through a hole in the frame on the working side aft of the tank outlet, if I remember correctly. I centered the flush as best I could, top to bottom, in the tank. While the flush was not located in the "ideal" position it certainly did the job. Over 7 seasons I can't tell you how many times I'd get a bad tank reading which would be cleared up with a good flush.

I never left a camp ground without flushing and you could eat out of that tank. I wouldn't but you could. :-)

I saw install it. You won't be sorry.

I think I will go for it next time the RV is home, likely in a month's time. In 2 weeks time I have to take another camping trip. I have every other Friday off so its either camping or modding. This weekend I added backup lights - they work great!

Thanks again Grumpy. I have Horst Miracle Probes, so between them and the quickie flush I don't expect to have any more tank problems.
