Awning question

Call me a dummy but how do you extend the legs out on the awning? I’ve hit my head too many times now...
I have 2013 X23B
Thank you!

X2 on the pool noodles. I've gotten a few bumps on the noggin too.

x3 on pool noodles. I go a little different from the standard; I used the interlocking kind (looks like a 4-leaf clover from the end) and cut 3 noodles in half then created 2 interlocked triangles of 3 sections that fit snugly around the arms and attach with small bungees wrapped around the arm and the noodle bundle. These are very substantial bumpers that can any hard knocks you send their way. Camping for the first time this COVI-year on Friday. Will try to remember to snap a picture to post.

Yeah, on my 19H, you can only really mess with the pitch of the arms. Our camper is up against a deck so the awning arms are even lower than usual. Kinda stinks, but as mentioned, pool noodles are your friend.
