Awning won't extend

I have a 2011 hybrid Jay Feather and when I tried to extend my awning (electric), it will extend about 2 feet then get stuck. I've pulled on the one side that seems to stick but the motor makes a clicking sound. I have some lubricant for my slide-out, should I lubricate it? And where? Unfortunately, my trailer has been sitting idle for 4 years and I'm traveling alone..

Not sure if the slide lube is a clear lube or a grease type lube. You'll want to use something clear and not dirt attracting.

I use silicone spray on mine every spring, giving a coating to the tracks where the traveler ends move up the side of the trailer. I also give a little shot to each of the pivot points on the arms.

I would probably check the tracks first to make sure there are no obstructions built up in the channel.

Note: assuming that you have the Carefree of Colorado self-dumping awning. Not all models/years of hybrids have the same awning.

I had a manual awning that had a lever lock. Had to unlock before rolling out. I doubt this is the issue since you can get it out 2 feet, but worth ruling out.
