Bumper and Cargo

The bumper on our hybrid is very thin, not the standard 4 inch on many TT’s. I am wondering if there is a way to somehow add a carrier for other cargo ( such as our reserve tank)?

Lots of posts on reinforcing bumpers. But what I think you want to look at is adding a welded on to the frame hitch. This involves having a hitch welded to the frame with enough supporting attachment to the frame to hold a load. That little, thin, fragile, cheap tin box "bumper" isn't designed to hold anything of any real weight.
