Bunk end covers
Anyone have an inexpensive option to the pop up gizmos? I love my hybrid, but acknowledge that a thermal blanket type of cover would 1.help reflect summer heat, 2.insulate fall/spring cold,3.keep tree sap from getting on bunk end material. Gizmos are pricey, been hunting for lower cost alternatives and haven’t found anything on Amazon that seems worthwhile..thanks..

I'm on year #5 with the pop-ups and let me say their worth the cost. Very easy to install and neat looking, fold up nicely. Would I buy them again well the answer is yes.

Space blankets
You might want to consider the Reflectix mod too for the bunk end window areas to help with AC/heating.

Boats, airplanes and RV’s. A hole in the “_____” that you try to fill with $$$.
I bought a set of Gizmos for our HTT and thought they were great. Are they pricey? Maybe, but I found them well made and performed very well. I felt that I paid a fair price for a well made product.
Reminds me of a bubble gum comic I got when I was a kid (remember those?).
#1: I’d like to buy a coat hanger.
#2: Here ya go, they’re $0.75 each.
#1: That’s kinda expensive, do you have anything cheaper?
#2: Sure, here’s a nail for $0.01.

If you're "handy", you could tailor some survival blankets to fit, but, honestly, I'd rather use the "real thing". Yes, you will pay a little more, but worth it for the convenience.

Is there another company that makes a similar product to the Gizmo pop up ones? I’d like to get some quicker than the 3-6 weeks as I was quoted from the company. I am in Canada and the shipping is another $49.00.

If you use the ferry to Anacortes just send them to me and I can meet you at the dock, it's just a short drive for me. If you do Vancouver I'm up here about every 4-6 weeks. Happy to help if I can.

We have a 23B and quite honestly we've spent more money on other cutesy gizmos that were not nearly as awesome as Pop up Gizmos. I love them and they're worth every cent!

I have the high wind gizmos. They keep it cool in the summer and keeps the heat in during the cool winter months. For the price there is nothing better that I could find. Worth every penny.

Another vote for the PU Gizmos. I have the high wind ones and the only issue I have is keeping the cords from getting tangled when folding them to pack up. They perform well, fit well and are worth the money. If you don't get the high wind ones or even if you do I highly recommend these to keep them from blowing around during high winds: https://www.amazon.com/ATPWONZ-Insta...rds=tarp+locks

X17z
Just wondering if anyone has used these pop-up gizmos on a Jay Feather X17Z? I can't find them listed on their site. We were just spent 5 days a Sandy Pines Campground in Kennebunkport. The weather was beautiful and HOT, we say 34 degree Celsius. The camper was in direct sunlight and the poor AC had its work cut out for It!

As you know you have 5 cords on each side, take the first 3 and tie them using a slip knot and do the same to the remaining 2. After you do the other side then fold it up then you won't have that problem when you unfold it.

Hi, I used the SOL blankets the last two weeks in the Okanagan heat. They came with grommets so we were easily able to fasten them down over the bunk ends. I can’t compare their quality to the pop up Gizmo brand as I haven’t received nor used those yet, but I will say these blankets worked fabulously and easily kept the interior temperatures down considerably. I will d finitely keep them on hand for future use.

As I recall they will make Gizmos to your measurements if they don’t have your unit listed.

If you call them directly and tell them which trailer you have they will make the right ones. But get the wind units. A little more expensive, but well worth the money.

My wife and I just came back from a Colorado river trip in Needles, Ca. We did have full hookups, so the AC was going full blast in our comfy and cozy x17z with pop up gizmos. I honestly can't say enough good things about the covers. On a day when the the temps were 116, we were 87 degrees on the bunks, at the dinette we were 83 degrees verified by a digital thermometer. We now know that we can do another river trip again and not have to worry about the heat getting into the trailer. Ohh and one more thing, if you call up and talk to them, they were able to ship them out fast if they have them in stock. The covers fit great. The only problem we had was keeping them attached at the top of the canvas. We are still learning but so far are really happy with them.

I use the spring loaded paper clips. You just attach them to the drip rail at the top of the trailer to hold the Gizmos. Works great even in high wind. I suggest you go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a roll of REFLECTIX insulation. It is like chrome bubble wrap. Cut out sections to fit each window. Slide them in between the shade and the screen. It will make it that much cooler on the beds and in the trailer... Jim
Also buy a small ladder to reach the top of you bed canvas.
