Bunk Hatch Latches

I was researching replacement locks for a friend and noted that RVLockksAndMore has the older style latches that Jayco used in our (now gone) X23B. Seem to recall someone recently asking about these.

Thanks. I have been looking for these all over the web, only found something close for $45.

My front bunk is leaking on the right side. I talked to a great dealer service rep today who actually explained what the problem might be. Those hinges wear out and then don't out any pressure on the door seal. Sure enough when I got home and looked at mine the right front is very sloppy and isn't putting any pressure on the seal. Hope this works.

Thanks again for the post.

If you order new ones, you can order them with keys that match your entry door.

As for a leaky latch, have you confirmed that the little plastic pad is still in place. When ours fell off, it did not seal as tight and allowed it to leak. I saw the pad fall, and after the second time it fell off, glued it back on with Gorilla glue.

The pad is still there but looks very warn. There is a lot more play (the rivet is very loose) in the latch on the right then in any of the other latches. I put a small piece of wood under the pad to tighten the seal. Turned the hose directly on the seal for a few minutes. When I opened the door there was a little bit of water, but it was much better. Going to add some additional seal and see if the keeps things dry.

Okay I am hoping I get more help from this forum again. I have a 2012 X23B hybrid. The bunk ends leak a little during heavy storms or if I wash the trailer and spray a lot of water on the ends.

I added the extra seal on the bunk ends after reading several suggestions on this forum. I now have a much better seal. I noticed in the back bunk that the bed door bows out in the center near the top. I remembering seeing on this site were a owner installer a third latch (like a twist knob) on top, center of the bed door and that solved the problem. I can't seem to find that post. I would like to install this latch and hopefully end the leaks for good.

Thanks
