Can I tow x20e with my jackknife sofa in open/sleep position?

Question - is it OK to leave the jackknife sofa down/open as a bed while driving or traveling? Thoughts, so you don't have to read the rest?

I LOVE my 2011 Jay Flight x20e hybrid and it's tied with my other fav camper the Scamp (owned 10 years). I camp alone, that said I have been wanting to go back to a permanent bed, small hard side camper. I just retired so, I'm tired of everything and loving everything in my new life. I'm tired of making up beds, yet I know I will miss the fresh air and feeling like 'almost' real camping, but it's so much work by myself.

I want to leave my jackknife sofa down permanently with a mattress topper and small swim noodle in the crack. It's a slide out. This way I could leave my bed made up like a hard side and I still have my u-shape dinette for seating. When my husband or kids join me 1-2 times per year the ends will go down. Husband is urban farmer, so can't get away most of the summer. I feel like this is great solution to hard side camper. Thanks for your opinions.

You have the same sofa I have. I see no issue with leaving it set up as bed. We often tow with stuff on ours.

Have you ever slept on it? It is very short, and extremely uncomfortable. The bars are in bad spots.

I am only 5.8 so me by myself I have slept so good on it with proper padding and like I said skinny swimming noodle in crack. 2 people no way. Weird. My husband wants a side camper so he can stay in Apple Valley or Nerstand state park close to his farm. Im thinking of ordering new Scamp because used ones are ridiculous. Now those cushions are hard.
Thanks for your input!

Is that a Dobie? Had one in early 90’s. Have been seen more in our neighborhood lately.

Yes it is and she’s a rescue that’s loved be everyone. She’s so good that a few people thought she is a service dog.

When we had a popup, we always had to tow with the jackknife sofa in the bed position so we could bring in the bed slides and lower the roof. It was designed to do that, so I'm sure it will be fine in your trailer too.
