Contrary to what some believe. Speed rated is not speed limited. Underinflation is a greater sin than overinflation. Tire manufacturers vary so check your specific brand info.

Some Goodyear specific Special Trailer tire info can be found here. I recommend reading it line by line.

Thank you VicS,

That is the first time I have seen a document spelling out criteria that must be met/checked to safely go above 65 with ST tires.

This dosn't have to be difficult.I pull a 14ft tandem axel cargo trailer loaded with tools almost every day and when I'm not dragging that, I pull a 14ft Trail Load (one of the heaviest built on the market IMHO)dump trailer rated at 18,000 lbs.I keep the same tires listed on the stickers and run them at the Max inflation stamped on the tire.I find running at max inflation will make the trailer pull easier and turn easier,so much so that I can tell by the way it pulls that I have a low tire.Same thing with my truck, max inflation stated on the trie. And keep this in mind,if you have a WD hitch your transfering some of the weight to the front of the TV.

... and to add: Ideally the WDH is returning the same weight initially removed back to the front of the TV (off the TV's rear axle).., and at the same time the WDH is transferring some weight to the TT axles (off the TV's rear axle).
