I have a 2014 19xud trailer and I have found condensation under the mattress and on the inside of the tent canopy on cooler nights Are there any remedies for this problem ?

I have a dehumidifier, thought perhaps I was being a little too overzealous but knock on wood I haven't had any condensation issues. Might be something to consider.

I find that using a small battery operated fan or small plug in fan to keep the air circulating works. I know they sell fans specific to my 23b complete with the special single pin power cord that plugs into the built in power outlets by each bed but Sportsmensguide.com sells battery operated light/fan combos with built in hooks that work PERFECT and can be used to put on the outside tables to keep the bugs away when eating...
Oh, and try to avoid touching the canvas, that'll just cause the water to run to the platform and puddle...

It helps to unzip the tent ends a little, maybe 4-5 inches each. Also crack open a few windows.

Yes..you should vent the windows and ends a bit.

Common issue. We virtually do not have the issue any more.

We crack open one side bunk window. Put the zippers in the high corner, and unzip both of them about 2 inches. Even in high wind we have not had rain come in. Also open the bathroom vent about 1/2 to 1 inch. All the moisture goes outside.

Thanks I am not thinking. You are right Air flow. We had a pop up that was great in 40 degree temp and did not have this problem. But it was not as air tight as this trailer. By the way 2002 Dodge Dakota extended.

We have a 2015 19XUD with the same problem. It's worse on cold nights with the heat on in the trailer. The condensation seams to form mostly along the metal bunk hinge which is covered by canvas. Even with the bunk ends vented there is still condensation (I don't think much air gets under the mattress!).

I think I am going to try to put some insulation of some sort (even a towel) under the canvas at the hinge after the bunks are folded down to see if that helps when we do some fall camping the next couple of weekends.

Same problem however not with the ends, just under the mattress! Trying foam flooring from Lowe's, $12.97 2x2 squares that clip together. Should insulate us a bit from the underneath making it the same temp all over. We are going to be away this weekend for 5 days. Will let you know how they work.

The condensdation you describe is a direct result ot the teperature differential between inside and outside. Moisture is always an issue within RV's as our own breathing creates a source of moisture amongst many other sources.

Airflow is definetly important as others have mentioned. I searched online and found a line of mini dehumidifiers. Mine is 4"x6"x12". It does not perform as well as a home unit but it sits on a shelf and quietly removes moisture. This past week in SC it has removed about 1.5 cups of water from the interior for me.

I am having the same issue with condensation forming under my mattress on a 2015 J-Feather UL X23F. It is so much that it is staining the mattress, has anyone contacted Jayco to see if this is a design issue. I'm gong to Lowes and get some Reflectix insulation and see if it helps. I know if you can get the dew point to be in the insulation and keep the warm air form hitting the cold surface condensation cant form. I will let you know how it works

Sklingsick, have you tried opening a few windows and vents for the moisture to escape? As mentioned above. Once we learned to do such, we do not get moisture build up under the mattresses.

Installed the foam pads last weekend and that seems to have done the trick. The temps outside were around 25 degrees C at night so there was not a lot of change in outside temperature overnight. Big test will be the October trip to Awenda Proincial park for a week! Will let you know.

Just curious.. Are you leaving these foam pads in all the time, or do you put them in, only while setting up camp?

We have had condensation problems in the sleeping areas of our Jayco X20E...so bad at one point that I woke up with water drops falling on me! We have been putting plastic shower curtains under the mattresses which has helped a lot....it seems to act as a moisture barrier to the temperature differential mentioned in another post.
