Decal repair?

First off I want to thank everybody for their helpful posts through the years, I have been camping for 4 years now and I don't know how I would have done it without all the info provided online.

I am on my second camper now and bought a jay feather 7 17xfd 2016. I love the camper, I have 4 children so it fits all the basic needs, I love it so much I baby it. When I came back from Virginia yesterday I noticed I had a scrape in my decal on the door (the first imperfection to the camper). It looks like a stone flew up on the highway and took a piece out. I haven't seen much info about decal repair, was wondering if anybody had any insight about it. Its on the white portion, would a small piece of white electrical tape work? Or do I just need to get over it?

I know how you feel about imperfections. A suggestion would be a sign shop scrap to plug it. Then you could scalpel it in, just don't press to hard or you will cut into the camper wall. A picture and a rubbing could also get you a new piece made as well in a vinyl sign shop.

Jayco can send you a new decal, but you might have to buy the whole side. Worth a shot though.

We had some damage to the rear decals on our new mh on our last trip. I used a razor blade to clean up the rough edges then applied automotive paint that is a very close match. The paint seals the edges of the decal so water can't seep under and cause more issues.
