Smile Digital/Analog Antenna

Is there a difference between a digital and an analog antenna? I have a 2005 19H and am assuming the tv antenna ia analog. My tv is a digital. I have had no results in getting reception. Do I need a digital antenna? Thanks for any help on this!

same antennae I believe. Is this trailer new to you or have you had reception in the past?
There is also a button to push where the Coax connects to boost the signal. Have you rotated it?

Most newer televisions have a built in digital tuner. If yours does you're good. If it doesn't you'll need to buy an external one.

Digital TV is done at UHF frequencies just as the analog signals did. There is no "digital" antenna. There is a lot of sales hype to lead people to believe so. Your Sensar batwing antenna will do just fine. You might add the Wingman to the front of it. It does improve it some.

Antenna

I have never got channels on this campers antenna. I bought a digital antenna at Wally World. I'm not getting any on it either. I still have some things to try. It has a booster that I haven't installed yet and I'm located some distance from tv stations. Where we camp is closer to St. Louis so I may get better reception from the CG. Camping next week so trying to work the bugs out ahead of time.

Did you turn the built in booster on in the camper?

A 2005 likely does not have a TV that supports digital over-the-air channels (DTV).

Our 2008 19H came with a TV that did support DTV.

Check that your TV supports DTV, as the antenna doesn't care what signals it grabs. The TV is the thing that decodes them.

Also, booster must be on, and check out this web site for help directing your antenna:

We bought the king digital hd antenna replacement head (CAMPING WORLD) it mounts on existing arm that cranks up, that web site that was mentioned in the previous post is a good one to help you know where to point , we went from about 4-5 channels to about 25 - 30, so helps alot
