First- pop-gizmos all the way!! No matter the season, they’ll make it more comfortable.

Second- you probably don’t NEED AC, but if you go somewhere without shade on a sunny day, it’s gonna get mighty warm inside.

Third- resale/trade value, as others have stated.

We just returned from 2 months in the W. N.C. mountains and it was a blessing in the middle of the day when the sun was beating on the roof.

Our 2017 16XRB has an optional 13,500 btu A/C on the roof. Wouldn't get the side mount 8,000. It has come in handy to cool the trailer down, but we rarely have it running for long.

You may not need or want it for Canada, but while growing up in Montana there were plenty of hot summer days, even at 5,000 feet. You never know. I would get the 13,500 roof mount again - absolutely with no hesitation. It's just plain good to have.

Get the largest one you can and hope it’s enough.

As others have stated, the a/c unit also is a dehumidifier. That alone can justify the purchase. The white noise is also a consideration. It's a real benefit for those of us that struggle with sleep issues. Also agree with a look at future sale considerations.

And, when you really need it, it's a beautiful thing!
