Do you take the TV out?

How many of you (if any) take your TV out of your TT for winter? I'm thinking that the cold weather is not good for it.....Thoughts?

They sit in unheated storage in most warehouses. They are hauled around the country in unheated semi trailers. My truck has more electronics in it than my fifth wheel and its parked outside so my tv's are staying in the camper.

Now if my house tv fails before an episode of Dancing With the Stars, my lovely wife will be "requesting" a tv to be transferred from camper to house.

Leaving it in won't hurt it. I take mine out because my trailer is stored away from my house in relatively secure outside storage [if there is such a thing]. The original TV that came with the camper was stolen where I previously stored it. Not taking any chances.

Leave it in, UNLESS it happens to be a plasma... THEY do not like to freeze! The worst enemy of LED / LCD TV's is moisture. They don't produce enough heat to dry themselves out like the old tube TV's did. Now ours stays hooked up all year round, but before that, we used those chemical cups of dehumidifier "stuff" to help keep the moisture down.

Extreme cold and Extreme heat is not good for electronics. Moister created by big temperature differential and electronic equipment turned on can be fatal. My preferences is to store electronics in a dry place with minimum temp. differential. In the winter I never leave my musical electronic equipment in my vehicle it can take over an our to acclimatize. That's my 2c

I do not know if it is good or bad,but I leave mine in during the winter.
I always have my HTT totally functional, with gas and electricity yearound.
I use the TV several times a week,as I often need to get out of the house for a bit.

I take my TV out.

-40 simply can't be good for electronics.

But I could be wrong . . . .

No. my reasoning is that if they are ok setting at the dealers place they should be fine at mine.
