Exterior shower unit

My wife and I just moved up from a popup to a 2012 Jayco Jay Feather Ultralite X23B. However, the exterior shower hose and shower head are missing. I have been checking out prices and availability of these parts. It seems like it is easier to just replace the whole unit. Price wise it is not much more money. Anyone ever replace one of these? I have done much work on my popup, just never replaced a unit like this.

I'd replace just the hose and head. Easier.

We have found the outside shower unit pretty useless as shower units go. So I re-fitted it with a standard hose connection. Now I can hook up a hose to it for a variety of uses, and I can hook a standard hose sprayer nozzle on to it which gives better performance than the shower head ever did.

It's easy to replace. I had replace mine second year we had it because I forgot to winterize the outside shower and it froze and blew the insides.

There are 2 thumb nuts for the outside connections under and behind the bathroom sink. One for cold, one for hot. They aren't too hard to get at. Just be careful not to tighten them too hard or they will crack as they connections are only plastic. It takes maybe all of 15 minutes to do.

You had me scratching my head on this. I thought all units came with a hose/head. So,,,I braved the rain and walked out to the lot, checking our 2 new 2018 X23B units, manufactured 5/17. Both units come with a hose/head. If yours did not come with a hose/head from the factory then I would question the dealership.

Buy the whole unit since it’s cheaper and just use head and hose and you will have a spare shower body if you need it.

If you can buy just the hose, I'd do that and get a higher quality head like an Oxygenics.

I wonder if a Oxygenics head will fit in that little compartment? I have a hard time with the junk white one that came with it. I wrestle with that stupid thing all the time. I don't even use it anymore because we fight all the time!
