extra outside steps for 19H

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and looking for some help. We bought a 2006 19H last July and we could really use another step to get up in the camper. Just wondering what everyone else uses or if anyone has any ideas on where to get another step. Thanks to everyone, as I've already got a lot of nice ideas off of here for the hubs to do!!!

Welcome to the forums!

I rarely have to add an additional step, but when I do, I use one of those plastic step stools that folds flat when not in use and I store it under the back seat of my truck. Although I've seen them in a number of stores, ours was purchased at a Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I also have a Rubbermaid step stool that has fixed legs. When it's not in use, our kitchen trash can sits on top of it. It serves two purposes. One- it raises the trash can to a height that makes it a bit easier to use as the trash can is only about two foot high. Two- It makes it a little more difficult for crawling critters (ants) to find the trash can.

tlweikel--- I built a box, standard step height (7'') with a outdoor door mat on the top. When traveling it goes right in side the door , upside down, with my wheel chocks in it.It's amazing how much dirt it collects AS LONG AS WE WIPE OUR FEET. hehehe Larry

Hit your local garage sales and look for one of those Richard Simmons step aerobics step thingys. I think some have adjustable height legs "to change the intensity of your workout", they are made of plastic (lightweight, easy to clean) and they are built sturdy to take heavy loads. Like most excercise items, you should be able to find them all over the place.

LOL We have TWO sets of those in our patio room! I'm guessing it would cost more to ship than what we paid. Funny thing *DUH moment*, we have those stinkin' things out there and need a step stool for when the 'little kids' visit and need to have a step up to wash their hands and considered buying another little step stool! Use those exercise steps.... !

Gawd love this forum and the insight it provides
