Fan/Light Combo - where to get them?
Hi All,
We just bought a new x17Z but only take possession in a few weeks .
I may be mistaken, but I don't think it comes with the fan/light combos that go over the beds (and seem to me to be a great investment).
Can anyone recommend the best place to buy these? I'm sure the dealer would be pleased to sell me a couple, but I wonder if ebay, or other such place, sells them also?
Are they standard, or do I need a specific type/brand for my Jayco hybrid?
Thanks in advance!

We have the 17z. They do not come with the fans. They discountined that option on the sport series. There is no where to plug in the fan/light combo. What we did was buy a clip on fan and small table lamp. In the bunk behind the bathroom there is an electrical plug on the wall and a little area for a lamp.

Thanks Zgabay,
I was afraid that would be the answer. Thanks for the ideas on workarounds.

Nathalis You could buy the plug and wire it in under the storage shelf above the bunks ( see the 19h).Use ''WIREMOLD" to hide the wires going up the wall if need be. Wire back to your loadcenter and connect to the 12v side of your loadcenter. If our not comfortable working in your elect. panel do all the other work then have your dealer do the panel work to protect your warrentee.Larry

Larry and Rachel - thanks for that tip - I'll pass it on to DH. Just might be our first mod.
I was going to ask if it would be feasible to switch the nearest light to install one with the input gizmo to accommodate the fan/light combo?

Which really is too bad, it's really too bad campers such as the 17z or the x20e. It would have been really nice to have them at least pre-wired, oh well.

Nathalie-- You probaably could as long as you can reach the tent support pipe to hold it up. That would probably void your warrentee though. Larry

We bought a 17Z last year and were disappointed that they did not have the fan combo or the plug for it in the lights. I ordered a fan from etrailer and a replacement light with the plug. I removed the plug as the dsign was different and installed it on my existing light.
Combo Fan is $23

Unfortunatley I don't see the replacement light on their website anymore. It was less than $10 but well worth the convenience of having the fan/light in the bed ends.

I see that the RV Euro Style Interior Double Ceiling Light with Built-In Switch and Socket Port is discontinued on etrailer. Anyone that has a 23B, is the 1/4" power/port for the lights/fan that come with the 23B built into the light or is the port located somewhere else?

Try this site: http://www.jaycorvparts.com/ . It had the fan and the outlet.

Why would it void the warranty?
I had my dealer install a 12 volt jack between the lights and the bunkends. The wires were fished through the ceiling and the jacks mounted. I agree with the others that it would be nice if the plugs were in the lights.

My 23B did not come with the power points. I had to install them myself.

... agree with Mike WA. I have ordered from Command Electronics. Good products, price, and service. At my request, they sent their catalog. Just browsing can open up some good ideas.

Does anyone know if they make these fan/light combo's that replace our present lights in the TT? Everyone in my household seems to love to have fans blowing on them while they sleep. I'd like to replace all of our bunk lights and bedroom lights with a fan/light combo, but I want to be able to direct wire it as a replacement for the exsisting lights.
