First trip new X17Z

Packed up last Thursday and headed out for a campground about 45 minutes from home.
Towing wasn't bad. Is the sway bar always loud when making turns? We know the TV isn't ideal but it didn't do too bad. We already had plans to replace it before we bought the camper. Just gotta pick something more geared for towing.
Setup was a breeze. We didn't utilize the toilet this trip but having hot and cold water in the camper was nice.
The next planned trip is a full hookup site where we will test it out.
Just one child the first two nights. Our other 2 joined us for the last night and we never felt too crowded. Even with the two dogs.

Our site was right on the water. Fishing from shore was nice.

Nicely done! We hope you enjoy your x17 Z as much as we do ours. We've only had ours for two weeks and thoroughly enjoy it.

We did not get a TV with our unit nor did we get any television connections to the Jensen radio. Although this was lacking, it certainly did not take away from our overall experience.

Excellent.. "Yes" is the answer to your sway bar question. Ours is noisy!

Congrats on your trip and YES the sway bar can be noisy.

X2 on the sway bar noise. What are you using for bars? I have found if I grease the ball, it really helps to reduce the overall hitch noise. When I am not using the ball, I place a 9 oz red solo cup on the ball. It is a perfect fit.

Have you noticed that the sway bars really make a difference? Any recommendations on which bars to buy?

My first trip out in my 185rb SLX used the factory settings on the sway bar friction, per the manufacturer's recommendation (EZ Lift Sway Control). I heard some loud snaps when making turns. The factory setting apparently was way to tight since the sway bar adapter plate on my hitch ball ended up bent! Suprising since this plate is 3/8" thick. I loosened up the friction bolt an replaced the bent plate.

The friction sway bar seemed to do its job as it was very windy during our road trip and I didn't notice any issues.

Our dealer told us to tighten the sway bar down brake using two straight fingers. Once "tight" using just two fingers, he suggested backing it off 1/2 turn. So far that formula has worked for us and the trailer is very steady behind the TV. Also, our sway bar does not make much noise at all -- not the usual popping sound I hear from other campers. We have a Husky sway bar.
