Floor Redo

As many of you have probably experienced, our 2009 hybrid is starting to show signs of the floors getting weak.
I was thinking about just laying 3/8" plywood over the top of existing floors and then plank floors to finish it all off.
Has anyone done this and what issues did you experience?
I just don't want to tear out all the cheap flooring (sandwiched foam to thin luan). Have already torn out shower unit and redoing the bathroom to reposition the toilet.

Keep track of how much weight you're adding. The plywood alone will be about 140-175lbs. I'd say at least the same for the flooring, probably more.

Yes that is why I am going with 3/8 instead of 1/2". Save over 60#. Plus I am going with a much lighter covering also. We never haul much, but it does not take long to reach your max.
I don't know how some people have added 2x4 with 3/4". No way that didn't add too much weight, at least for my trailer it would.
Thanks
