If the vent hose from your FWT is accessible from the inside or you're willing to crawl underneath your RV to attach it, this is what I have used for years to prevent water loss from the tank until I'm setup and level.

It's easy to attach and remove and... It works!

So as it turns out, I’ve been sanitizing my fresh water tank yesterday and today. 16XRB has 26g tank. I added 1/2 cup bleach. I’ve filled past full and drained it about 10 times so was able to watch my siphon action. I tried turning on pump and running water for 10 seconds, did not appear to help. It pretty much did the same thing every time. After full, it drained about 3 gallons. (Est.). Maybe the owner before me fixed it or I’m lucking out.

BTW, bleach had to be flushed through about 4 tanks worth. I’d suggest less bleach. I also cranked up hot water heater and flushed all faucets. After 4-5 the water still didn’t taste right. Then I realized I was using my garden hose (at least 5 years old).... doh! Switched to white and 2nd flush of the tank worked. Lesson learned.

Oh, btw we use bottled water for drinking but I didn’t want bleach in my eyes from the shower. Ha!

We backed into a camp site on a hill a couple times and the water just kept coming out. I lose quite a bit from hilly areas when the trailer is tilted.

For me a synthetic wine cork that I had fit my tube and worked great to stop this problem.
