How do you install a new water pump?

We have a X23B and we need to change out the water pump. There is one black wire that we can't figure out where it goes or how to disconnect it. Has anyone had to change theirs and have any tips? We leave in a week so we need to change this ASAP. Thanks!!

Just one wire?
No others?
I'd have expected at least two...

If that's the case, I'd have to assume the ground/return is through the mounting bolts, so your single wire is the 12v Supply for the pump.

Does the replacement pump have a similar, single wire?

If so, it should be safe enough to cut the old wire ( shore power off, battery disconnected, please! ) and splice in the wire from the new pump.

Disclaimer: Jayco are notorious for changing things at a whim, so be very sure that IS the only wire..

You could cut it and splice the new one.
