Thank you all for helping and I'll answer all of you:
TNCraig, I did bang it up on both sides with a block of wood and my hammer, nothing.
Grumpy, now that's a real good idea and I'll investigate that one for sure. I have a dental pick and I'll probe around for any metal sound or feel.
Nevercominghome ( love that name) The screws im using are 1" long and do not come through the wall. The outside bracket is just above the frame that's holding the Valance on. If I can remove it I can use that bolt and nut and it will be hidden. I have about 1/4 to 3/8 max space behind that valance and I can't get my finger behind there nor can I see what I'm doing.

I say just sharpen up a putty knife and slice it off the wall. You'll be able to tell if there's any more metal (screws) holding the thing in place. Start at the top and gently cut it off.

Hang a group of small framed pictures over the damage if you make a mess of things.

Edited to add a "I'm kind of joking" smiley face.

If you are paying, notice I said if your paying, for your Obama Care, you will have to meet a very high deductible first. If your not paying, the x-ray and anything else you want to have done while you are there will be totally free! That's because the ones that do pay for it, will pay more, so you can get it done for free! Thanks to Obama. God us all, we need it.

No, 2 people need my truck to move and I don't loan it out so I'm helping with the moves.

I did probe around with my dental pic and there is something else in the 3 holes and its a metal sound. Can't make out what it is that's not only holding the Valance to the wall but it's accepting those 3-1" screws. Funny that Jayco said it should fall off. Those 3 screws are not long enough to go through the Valance and into the wall.

I wonder if the valence is mounted to some sort of backing plate that is mounted to the wall? The valence is padded right? Can you push down on the padding and feel any other screws or whatnot under there?
