How long does it take you to set up or break down?
I started at 7:00 AM this morning and had the trailer connected to the truck at 10:00. That seems like a long time. I was doing it all myself, so maybe that's why. I never really clocked it before.
How long does it take you to break down, or set up camp?

It depends on the circumstances. Normally 2-3hrs packing up slowly. We have woken up to snow on a couple May long weekends and I have hooked up in 1/2hr.

Depends on how much stuff you have and how motivated you are to get going. My wife and I as a team can pack up and go in 2 hours safely. As far as packing up, we are much faster. If we take an hour I would be surprised.

We did about 2hrs this morning in our first pass through it. Now that didn't include the stop at the dump station. By 'teamwork' my wife's job is to take the toddler out so I can pack/clean in peace.

Seems to take me about a 1/2 hour to get the trailer in place, unhooked, jacks down, slide out, awning out, hoses connected and hitch hardware put away. Reverse is about the same.
Then I hand the site over to my wife for the odds and ends and get a beer.

I'd say about 1/2 hr to set up and a little longer to tear down. It takes a bit longer to get everyones stuff in the camper so we can leave the house. I usually pull the trailer out of the shop and park it next to the back deck for loading...fewer steps and it's right off the kitchen so things move pretty quickly.

AS long as it takes - The beer tastes the same if you do it in 30 mins or two hours...

Packing out to leave the house is probably 1-2 hours.
Once we're camping, it takes us 45 minutes to be wheels rolling.
If we are leaving at 6am, I will often hook up WDH the night before so I don't make any noise.

My DW tells people it takes me 2 days to setup when we go for a couple weeks. I do like to tinker, like an underground elect service to the table under the ez-up., dig the hole to lower the " blue buddy", set up the outside sink (home made)with running water under the awning. Of course in between all that comes a few "cold ones" in the chaise lounge. Maybe next week it will take 3 days who knows. lol Larry

I must either have too much stuff, or I am really slow.
Getting ready to go, for me is not hard, just get the clothes, bedding, food in the fridge, hook up, and off I go.
It's the setting up and breaking down at the campsite.

Digging holes at the campgrounds I go to is frowned upon. We went with friends one time and they dug a hole to do some cooking in, and the campground owners told them to fill it up.
Lowering the waste tank would be nice, since the sewer drain on these campers is pretty low.

chuckworkb I never asked, but we have had the same site since 1982 for the week of 7/4 but only had the 19H for 3 yrs .So the hole for the "blue buddy" has only been for 3 yrs, and the cg hasn't said a word, I do fill in when we leave.Larry

Setting up... Hmmm, never really timed it. Sometimes all we do when unhooking is leveling, chalking, unhooking, stowing wdh, electric hookup. As we need the other stuff, then we do them. Depends on our plans when we get to the cg.
Break down... team work routine as well following our 'check list' helps greatly. Unless we are coming home from a trip, we 'dump' the night before and disconnect the sewer drain tubes. The satellite, water hose, stabilizing jacks, and pretty much everything else are done in the morning. With that, the two of us can be hooked up and on our way in 45 minutes. If it's just me, it can take an hour or so. As for the double check before driving off.. it only takes us 2-3 minutes unless we find something we missed (check list makes that a rare occurrence though )

It depends where we are at. If we are getting ready to leave from home; it takes a few days. As we putz to put cloths in one day, groceries another day. 5-10 minutes to hook up, and disconnect the shore power. In reality we could leave the house in 20 minutes easily if we had to.
Arrival at camp, once we have the TT in the site, it takes about 20-30 minutes to have the majority of the setup work done. Making the beds are the hardest part, and we do it as a team, I am outside, open the emergency exit window and stand there and help. AS a team it is quick.
Breaking camp; If we had to, we could pull out in less than 30 minutes, however it takes a few hours as we putz again, then do something fun, then work for a few minutes, and then play some more. We commonly do not leave camp Sunday until sometime between 2-4 pm, so we have plenty of time.

for me it depends on the trip and how much of our stuff we use. I try to put things away and break things down if we plan on not using them again. I'm a nut about keeping camp clean and organized so it doesn't get out of hand. We had one trip last year that just got out of hand and crap was everywhere. Drove me nuts! Before and after the trip is difficult for us as we can not keep the TT at home. It's 20 miles away in my parents driveway. Set up at the campground goes quickly (20 min) as I set up the essentials (leveling, unhooking, connecting, putting the slides out, 1st beer). Break down depends on my 3 year old's mood. The better the mood the faster the break down.

Timing varies for me depending on the site. If the site is not level it can take a extra 15 minutes to get it right, especially for the longer stays. Once level it goes pretty quick in about 15 minutes to slides out and steps down. The last thing I do is the sewer since I don't need it until a few days in anyway. I'd say 1/2 hr average then I open a "pop" and take my time setting up the site. If I have helpers it goes a lot faster.
The packing of the unit goes on for week prior to departure since the unit sits at the house while not in use. It usually is only 10 minutes to hitch and go if there is only a shore power cord to store. I usually pack the site the night prior while the fire is dwindling as I hate to put stuff away damp or wet.

Once we pull in, I can have the camper unhooked leveled, beds out and set up in about 45 minutes by myself or 30 minutes if my wife is helping.
Leaving takes a little longer with clean up of dishes, and dumping the tanks - so about 1:30 by myself or 1:00 with my wife.

Took about 2 hrs & 3 beers to set up on 7/27, very hot & humid. We didn't rush except for the first beer, very cold --went down like gold. Larry

For me, about an hr to make camp and two hrs to break camp. Add 1/2 hr each way if PUGs are involved.
