How to protect cover on X23B from downspouts

We will be installing a winter cover on our 2015 X23B soon. At each corner of the roof, a downspout protrudes a couple of inches. This will certainly rip the cover when the winter wind blows. Has anyone come up with a way to put a "softener" or "protector" over the spouts? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yes, that's a great idea. I think we have a bag full of them in a closet...

Carefully cut an “X” in each one and just slide it on. If you don’t have any tennis balls floating around, I found them pretty cheap at a pet store. Less than a can of new Wilsons.

I've used tennis balls in the past but the wind still kicks the cover around and the tennis balls chew through the cover. Last year I tried the hard plastic balls sold as "RV cover rescue" and I was pretty surprised they worked well with no cover damage.

I cut about 4” pool noodles pieces to slip on the spouts, they work great!

it thru the fabric. When I uncover 2 of my balls fell off after only 45 days .Yes 1 spout is thru the fabric. When I uncover i probably will repair with eternabond tape on both sides. I have it and its white like the cover
