After seeing this earlier this year, we have done a very similar thing. Something so simple to ease the agony. Great idea, great post, thanks.

I always pull the mattress out and then remove the ridge pole and raise the hoop. My wife doesn't set up anything on our camper, so it's all on me. The most difficult part is moving slowly enough that I don't destroy anything with the mattress or ridge pole when I'm swinging them around.
