I just saw the x23u hybrid.. wow!

I just brought a Flagstaff Shamrock 21dk because I hated the little sink and that there were no tub surround in the Jaycos and low and behold,, I just saw the new x23U.. I'm gonna cry.
It has the tub surround and the big sink! Why did they just now come out with that plan?

I checked out the floor plan for the 23U, I thought it was weird to have one very long couch and no dinette. Everyone sitting in a row and eating. I have to see it I guess. It only sleeps 5-6, not that many for such a large rig.

I agree with Wasabi, that long table thing is not real appealing, but it would be versatile. Otherwise, looks like a fabulous trailer and I bet it gets really popular as a model.

Looks nice, but man the prices are all over the place. I've found it listed for around $30k and as low as about $22k.......

Put that bathroom in the X23B and I'd be in heaven!

Can the shower surround be added later?

One thing the wife noticed though is the X23B still has more counter space!

I don't think eating at the sofa would be that comfortable but I haven't tried it either. You can only eat at one side of the table and for me I would rather have another person sitting across from me. When you use the sofa as a bed what do you do with 2 tables and how do you strap them down when on the road. Might have to go back and look again but I think I only saw 1 viewing window in the slide and no side windows. The other window is in the small hall way, I wouldn't call that a good view window. I know many people will like this setup but it's not one that I would consider.

The tub/shower set up is typically a non-issue for me since we never really camp at full service sites. Provincial Parks are just electric so we use the parks facilities for showers etc... Thankfully they are clean My shower/tub combo is usually just used for storage o.O

I could see the appeal of the long couch with the tables. If you use one of the tables outside, you'll even have more floor space inside.

We will have to check it out. We may be in the market for either the 23B or this new 23U next year, based on what they look like. One thing, though. Any TT we get has to have access to the "Mayor's Office" when closed up. That is a Key Performance Parameter for my wife. :-)

I just took a look at it. It is higher than the standard X23B. It appears as if it has 3 steps, while the X23B has only 1 step. Maybe the longer slide dictated a higher stance?

If you follow the link, they have a picture of the outside.

I like it. The only thing we use the big table for is turtling. We removed the bulky legs, and when we are set up we just throw it in the rear bed. We have a small split table we keep behind the couch if need it.

I don't see it on Jayco's site though? I'd like to look at more pictures.

Does anyone know what it weighs? It looks heavier with that Shower, etc.

My husband kind of likes it, but the fact that it doesn't have any counter space is kind of a deal killer. When we upgrade, the 23b is still the leading contender in my book.

Link for the brochure w/ specs for all 2015 models: http://www.voyagerrv.ca/photos/3400/brochure.pdf

Looks like the specs are as follows:
Unloaded - 4,640
Hitch - 545
GVWR - 5,995
Cargo Carrying Capacity - 1,355

heavier and 5" longer than the 23B

Thanks WV Camper, I think that is bigger than we really want to pull. It has some nice features though!

I agree, looks like it's also taller by 10" from 119"-129". We downsized from a house on wheels to the 23B, one of the biggest attractions of the smaller 23B was maneuverability.
I have no intentions in going any bigger anytime soon!

My next Home Sweet Home on wheels to match my Hybrid size and weight might very well be a Hartland "Wilderness Model" WD-2750-RL. I can pull it with my Touareg TDI with power to spare. I have yet to find one nicer looking inside and it has plenty of windows for those mountain and ocean views.
