Install Canvas Jayco 23B XP

We recently had our canvas ends replaced. I'm trying to install them myself vs paying our local RV company to do it. I figured out that you slide the flat end of the canvas into the seam of the bed frame. Need direction on where to attach the 6 screws - do they go thru the plastic bead running the length of the canvas on that end? I could use a picture if anyone has one

I don't have a photo, but yes the screws go through the plastic bead. You should be able to see screw holes in the frame where the old screws went in. That should give you an idea on placement.
There are a couple threads here about that plastic bead splitting. I'm hopeful that the newer ones don't have this problem. I would still pre-drill holes in the plastic slightly larger than the screw diameter, and use a small washer between the screw head and the plastic in an attempt to prevent splitting in the future.
