Jayco X23B with slide out

Does any one have any comments on if a awning is needed to go over the slide or do most people leave it with out one. Ours is a 2013 model but didn't come with it but after looking at pics on here it looks like several people have them, If so do you know where you can purchase one?

I also have a 2013 X23B and I don't have a slide topper and don't plan on one.

I would think Tweetys', (a site sponsor), or Camping World should have them.

I looked into one when we first got our 23B but the $750 price tag turned me off. If you were going to use your 23B on a seasonal site with the slide out deployed for 6 months at a time it might be worth it. I bring a stepladder with me and sweep the top off before retracting it.
