Jayco Z17Z foam matresses

We purchased a used X17Z. The foam mattress in the rear bunk end is too big for the space. It pushes out into the outside corners by a few inches. It got wet last year during a all day rain , where the mattress was pressing into the corners, Have switched mattresses around between the ends and still the same issue. Has anyone else come across this. Did you cut the mattress to make it fit better? Appreciate feedback.

No, ours fit fine. They fit snugly onto the supplied shelf and require a little bit of squeezing between the poles, but they are not off by inches. Also, I don't see how you can easily cut them, as ours have a cover over them. Are you sure they are original to the X17Z or did the previous owner change them out?

Ours is a 2010 and both ends fit snug. I measured the mattresses when we first got it and I think the front is slightly larger than the rear. I wonder if yours came with two front mattresses. Sorry I can't measure mine now.

just for the fun of it try changing the front one with the rear one and see if that helps. I don't think it will but it is worth a try. I have a x17z and mine fit fine.

What year is your 17z?

I'm leaning toward someone swapped out the mattress for some reason...

Thanks everyone. We have a 2011 X17Z We have swapped the front and rear mattresses around and have the same issue. Its possible that we got two front mattresses. They are both the same dimension. Are they supposed to be different sizes? I am going to e-mail Jayco to see what they say. We did buy it used from a dealer but they are not being helpful. I did not think anything of this until we had a very wet weekend last last September. Thanks everyone.

My 2013 17z has different size matresses. The front matress is slightly larger than the rear. They are not interchangable.

Ncooper96 is correct. Our 2012 x17z has a smaller rear bed. The front mat will not fit the rear bed.
