bdreinv: Proper charging depends what converter is put in a RV. WFCO and a few more are the cheaper brands. If you have a Progressive model some of the series have the 4 stage wizard installed, which maintain batteries very well. I usual get about 6 to 7 years out my RV batteries but have the unit always on shore power. Keep the fluid level up to par and don't let them go below the 50%. When on solar that system takes over the charging duty and disconnect the converter charging system.

Batteries

You know ALJO I do not even know never looked, bought camper new. I would assume Jayco doesn't spend anything extra! Next time we have that front panel off in the lower storage will check. Only battery we ever got 7 plus years was an optima yellow top in our dump trailer. Phoenix is just a killer on batteries! Thanks

Extreme heat or extreme cold is hard on anything, also my body......lol.
In extreme heat you need a fiesta with lots of drinks, when it is extreme cold you need food and a warm choc drink or alcohol to keep from freezing
