Leaking hatch ends

I have seen where some manufacturers put a stiffening bar on the inside top edge (when in closed position) of the bunk end hatch lid. Prevents sagging from weight over time, creating a bad seal from the elements. Has anyone had an issue with leaks and decided to put in a bar of this type? Also, do you use any product that keeps the bunk end seals in good condition? I imagine products that work for slide out gasket seals are the same?

Do you have pictures of what is sagging? I've never seen it. Our previous hybrid was an '03 that we had for 10 years. Our 2013 is going on 5 years. No leaks in the bunks, open or closed.

I use Turtle Wax Protectant on the seals twice a year. When we traded our last hybrid the seals were still soft and like new.

No sag on mine, just asking if that was an issue. ROCKWOOD puts a bar on their hatches for extra support and to keep them from sagging down the road. But it's good to hear from you and the fact that it's not a issue..
