Maiden Voyage Set!

Hello!

I've been lurking for a few weeks. Now that we've purchased our first RV ever, I figured I had better sign up and join the conversations.

We brought home a 2015 Jayco 19XUD. We've set it up in the driveway and have been "playing" with it and practicing opening and closing it up.

I have a wife and three little girls (7, 5,3) who have been enjoying it even in the driveway.

Our maiden voyage is set this Thursday through Saturday at Lithia Springs Park in the Tampa Bay area. This park is just a few miles away as I figured it would be good to be close to home and a Wal-Mart just for our first time.

I'm sure I will have tons of questions.

Luke

Let me see if I can post a pic:

Thumbs up

Congratulations on the trailer, and welcome to The Forum. Like you, I "lurked" for a while before I joined. So glad I did! Nicest group of people you'll ever encounter!

Yes indeed; you're going to have fun. Next, head over to the Disney/Ft. Wilderness campgrounds; you all would have fun there too!

We have annual passes and have always stayed at Marriott brand hotels. Unfortunately, Fort Wilderness is between $120 and $130 per night for the dates we are looking at in February and March! Yeesh! That's more than Marriott! lol

Congrats on the new TT. You and the family will have a blast! Our first was an X23B and we still miss it.

Welcome!

Congrats! Welcome!

We did the same thing....driveway camping to try out. We then went to a campground close by and within 10 minutes of a Wal-Mart!

We are all here when you need help!

Might be more, but a whole lot more for you and the kids to do at the campgrounds at Disney. We too have the Florida resident anual passes, but only go to the park maybe one day of a weekend camp. The Disney campgrounds have plenty right there; nightly free movies on the outdoor big screen, huge parks to play at, playgrounds, fishing holes, and plenty of bike trails. Can't get that at the Marriott!

I was raised camping in the 60's my parents had Airstreams, Then when I got grown we started our kids off camping. They now are grown but don;t yet have a RV but when we go camping they sometime come alone. We also take the grands kids with when it is warm. It is a great time with your kids so young you can build so many memories that will never forget. Congrats on the TT.

We bought the same model last fall and love it! We are now camping at a state beach in Southern California, a world away from the snow and ice at home.
