Mildew

How do I get rid of mildew on the inside canvas of the back bed?
My 23b has not been opened in awhile. Apparently it has been leaking during rains. I have mildew on inside canvas and on rubber part of flap.

I have it open to air it out.
Also has anyone replaced the larger of the two mattresses In the back bed?

Thank you
Msue

From a web search:
Kill it: Spray it with distilled white vinegar. Let dry. Clean it: Scrub it lightly with a soft brush using a mixture of salt, lemon, and hot water. Avoid using detergent soaps or bleach which is harsh on canvas and tough to rinse out.

Should be easy to clean off rubber.

Thank you. I saw that answer in Google but was hoping I wouldn't have to scrub. It.

For the inside canvas, I used an empty spray bottle and fill it with 50/50 bleach and water. Spray on the mold areas and let sit for a few hours. Once the mold is gone, lightly rinse the area with water, dry with a towel and let air dry. I tried many different cleaners but bleach worked the best.

I do the same only add a little Dawn detergent to the mix.

You may want to remove the bed and bedding before you spray it down. If a bleach mixture gets on it, it'll stain it lighter.

The bmattress are put of the room. There is water damage in the board that leads into the bed area.
Still have to see if any wall damage.

Thank you all for your replies. Have you ever had to tear out an wall due to water damage?
