Moisture Under Beds

Any thoughts on the best way/product to combat the moisture under the 'mattress' that occurs? (inside, between the mattress and the hybrid door)

So far my best solution is to fold up the bed in the daytime and lift it for drying air flow.. but such a pain each time..

I tried some products, and some have taken away 60% but I'd like to get closer to 100%..

Looking for the most cost-effective solution.. Getting hypervent in Canada is fairly costly.

The trick to reducing or eliminating condensation is to give the moisture a place to go. In a hybrid that mean leaving the corner of a tent flap open or a window cracked in the main body of the trailer. After experimentation, we have a small crank out window above the galley sink that we leave open all the time when camping. We no longer have any condensation.

Maxsteel, what Rv do you have? If you are talking a hybrid the bunk ends have a lot of cold attacting the moisture. If you have a bed like my 195RB it is over a storage area. I lined the whole storage area with foam board insulation which keeps down the cold and heat from penetrating. Never had a moisture problem after that.

+1 for hypervent. I remember it being pricey, but solved our problems in our 19H.

Lots of people like their hypervent. Never used it.

X2, the moisture needs a way to escape. Bathroom vent is always open at least 1/2", year round.. We keep the side windows of the bunks just slightly unzipped. Bring the zippers to the high point, and unzip for about 3-4 inches (total per window). This location appears to have no issues in storms.

We have not noticed any moisture in 8+ years(???). No damage the bunk doors. No extra stuff, no folding up the mattress to dry things out.

We tried cracking the windows with no success. Hypervent solved our problem for good!

We just started using Den-Dry this season, it works beautifully so far. I believe it's about $100 right now for queen size. We only did the rear bed end that we use, later we'll do the front where the grandkids sleep/play.
