Month long renovation is finally done!
After lots of blood, sweat and beers I finally finished out renovation just in time for our first trip next week. Priming/Painting, storage additions, reworked bench configuration, appliance installs, are just a few of the major things and of course all of the new cushions, fixtures and hardware that come along with it. Couple of pictures below. The wife is happy, which means I'm happy!

Short answer... Negative! Some of it was fun, some of it was not (I HATE PAINTING). All in all a good learning experience on what to expect out of these crapily built overpriced toys. Overall I would say it's all pretty straight forward, just time consuming!

This looks amazing! You set the bar very high! My 2007 19H is under complete renovation now. I aspire to have it come out as nice as yours did! What model is your hybrid?

I just got mine out of storage and since not allowed to camp for a while due to Covid, I showed your pics to wife and got the green light. We only camped for 1 month last season after purchase and that dinette really bugged me, and the narrow couch area wasn't comfortable. So without delay I removed dinette, really easy. I then rebuilt in seating like you but I made mine more into a U Instead of your II. Will reuse original table, just need to cut it down to proper length to fit across gap. May upgrade table to pedestal base in the future. I also like the TV mount you have, mine is mounted to top of refrigerator cabinet and takes up all that space. Pics are factory floor plan versus mine, it's a must do conversion in my opinion.

Nice work. Did you roll or spray? I found I tolerate painting much better with the Wagner Sprayer.

Would love to see pics of your approach to this. I have a 19RD with similar dinette/couch configuration at back end of trailer and have give a lot of thought to converting them into a U like your "to be" pic shows.

Sorry but unfortunately I just dug in and didnt think of pics. Nothing really to it, just unscrew all screws holding both sides of dinette. Build in some framing with 2x2 or 2x3, and i used up almost all of donor skins to cover it all back up. I had to work around hot water tank and water pump and plumbing, but in the end well worth it. I still need to cover a new foam to finish off seating. I have no regrets, ate a meal in driveway the other night and we talked about why Jayco didnt do this to start with.....crappy little cramped dinettes.
