Moving on up in the Jayco family

After 5 of us spending 12 days in our Hybrid, my wife was ready for something bigger. We went to the dealer to look at a 2014 Jayco X23B, but for the same price they offered us this just traded 2012 28DSBH.
We saw this model at a RV show this past winter and really liked it. My wife fell in love with it and we traded in our hybrid. I kept thinking if its not wise to grocery shop while hungry its probably not wise to RV shop after a long camping trip. We got a good trade on our unit and it was cheaper overall than if we would have bought it new this past winter so we're happy with the deal, and very excited for our next trip!

I'd be interested in how you like going from the expandable to the full hard shell.
Good luck with your new camper.

From pup tents with no floors, to tents with floors and flies, to a pop up, to the expandable.

Wait a minute! It appears to me that you may have bought that Whitehawk at Forrest Marine and RV. Am I correct? That is where we bought our Jayco Feather X23J. They were very helpful. We didn't haggle over price, we thought it was a reasonable price and the X23J is hard to find. Especially like the weight distribution system along with a free receiver for my pickup they provided. Camper came with extra options that I doubt we would have purchased. The weight distribution system sure takes a load of my rear end. Actually, the previous owner traded up for the same model I believe.

You are correct sir!
We met these guys at the Hampsire hills RV show this winter. They treated me way better than my previous dealer which is only 3 miles from my house. They offered me a sweat deal on the camper right off the bat and didn't have to haggle either. While they do the walk thru there techs are going to setup my WDH for the new camper and there going to swap out my 550lbs bars for no charge. My old dealer just said I should be fine without one on my home, and I set it up myself.

That's where we just got our used 2008 23B too. They were outstanding to deal with. Never felt like I needed to shower after interaction with them! Julie and crew were outstanding. Prices very reasonable. Every review I read said they stand behind their sales and service. Haven't needed it yet, it's only been 3 weeks and one 7 day camping trip, but good to know. Enjoy your new rig!
